The Photo Record Tool version 2.0 (PRT2.0) has many features, and four main areas of importance shown below and explained in detail further down this help text.
- Along the top there is the Title bar showing the title of the current project map and on the right hand side a slide button to switch-on and off the Distance Search Tool (DST).
- On the left you see the Main menu listing all the Photo Groups and Overlays available on the current project map.
- The main area of the PRT2.0 interface is taken up by the satellite map and this is where all selected and searched for photo geolocations will be displayed via small numbered and coloured icons. Overlays will also display on top of the map in their appropriate geolocations.
- The area just above the satellite map displays a Sub menu and it includes:
- the Fade Map and Fade Overlay sliders, on the right hand side, that controls the transparency of either the satellite photo map or all overlays. This features is handy to temporarily bring back into view any obscured area of the satellite map or improve legibility of the overlays.
- a filter by tag menu is only shown if the current project map includes any photos that are tagged the available tags can be filtered to only show photos that have the selected tag.
Photo Groups
Photo Groups are a collection of photos taken on a particular date. Each photo group show it's title, date, the number of photos included in the group and coloured indicators of tags used in the group.
- The main menu on the left lists all the available Photo Groups in this project map.
- Click on the down arrow on the left of the title to open and activate that Photo Group.
- Once opened the Photo Groups menu takes on an unique colour for cross referencing photo icons on the map area.
- The group menu expands to show a numbered list of icons representing each photo in the group.
- The map area will also show the geolocation of all the photos in an activated Photo Group, referenced with the appropriate number and icon colouring.
- Any photos that are tagged by the administrator will have small coloured indicators on their corresponding menu icon. The filter-by-tag menu will only show what and if tags are used in a project map.
- There can, within reason, be an unlimited number of groups in any project map.
- Clicking on a numbered photo icon, either in the menu or on the map area, will highlight it in the menu and on the map area and pop up a small photo information window.
- The light green triangle shows the direction of view of the camera when the photo was taken.
- Double clicking on a numbered photo icon, or on the photo in the small pop up information window, will open a separate browser window with a branded and printable version of the photo. (right click on the branded photo to save the image)
- Holding down the SHIFT key and Double clicking on a photo icon will add that photo to a Contact Sheet. Perform this routine again to remove the photo from the contact sheet.
Overlays
Overlays are plan drawings shown at the appropriate geolocation.
- At the top of the main menu on the left you see the Overlays menu.
- The menu indicates the number of overlays available in this project map.
- Hover over the small white down arrow to reveal the list of overlays.
- Click the small slide buttons to switch-on and off each backcloth.
- Some overlays can take a few minutes to load, due to their complexity.

This special search tool is toggled on and off via the top right slide button in the Title bar. When switching the DST on it replaces the main menu on the left with the search tool settings menu and the map icons are replaced with the DST positioning tool.
- Drag the DST positioning tool to the location where you want to centre your search around.
- Changing the radius in the left menu will increase/decrease the search area, indicated by the red circle
- The date range is limited to the oldest and newest photo date available in this project map.
- The search is based on GPS locations and may take a few minutes to complete.
- Return back to the standard project map interface by sliding the search button back to off.

- You can adjust the size of the thumbnail with the slider along the top of the Contact Sheet window.
- There is some basic information about the photo.
- Single clicking on any of the photo thumbnails will open the branded printable version of the photo.
