Geoff Farrar

Geoff is a civil engineer with 25 years experience in the planning, design and construction of residential land development and large-scale civil infrastructure projects. Specialist areas include site services, pavement design, active travel, land development, contract administration, site remediation, and water cycle management.

Having worked for civil design consultancies, the ACT Government and Private development both nationally and abroad, Geoff’s deep understanding of both technical and project management issues ensures a sound basis to develop strategy and facilitate successful project outcomes.

As a Director of Civilscope Consult, a consultancy for walking and cycling planning and implementation, Geoff also demonstrates genuine commitment to the development of Canberra as a quality living environment.

Trevor Tindale

Trevor has specialised in the project management, contracts administration, and estimating of public realm and civil engineering projects throughout the ACT and Southern New South Wales over the previous 30 years.

Trevor has been involved in a number of iconic landscaping projects in Canberra and is recognised for the development of systems and procedures to control budgets and quality critical to project success. Projects that Trevor has been involved with include, the construction of the National Arboretum Canberra, The National Museum, the redevelopment of the Old Parliament House Rose Gardens, the War Memorial entry and Parade Grounds, Childers Street Precinct, Forde landscaping including the Heritage Park and the ANU Union forecourt precinct.

Trevor has worked with most of the consultants and contractors in Canberra, both landscape and civil, and has an excellent practical knowledge and understanding of the local industry.

Trevor is also an experienced irrigation tradesman and qualified greenkeeper.

Chris Daly

Chris Daly

Chris is a chartered civil engineer with approximately 20 years’ experience in project management, planning, design and construction of infrastructure and property development projects.

Chris began his career as a design engineer before advancing to a design manager in charge of multi-disciplinary teams developing a solid base of skills in design. He then focused on construction management of infrastructure works and he has broadened his skills to include contract administration and site surveillance over a range of contract forms with projects varying from large road or subdivision works to specialised utilities infrastructure and landscape works.

In recent years Chris has worked as a development manager for a number of estates (residential and industrial) in the Canberra region. This role involved the coordination of all aspects of the developments including planning, budgeting, marketing, sales, design and construction. This work included responsibilities as Superintendents Representative for a range of civil and landscape contracts.

In addition to work in the local area Chris’ has undertaken assignments in a range of countries including Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, Vietnam and the United Kingdom. Chris’ depth of knowledge and project management skills makes him an invaluable resource for any infrastructure related project.

Dave Stewart

David has worked in the civil construction industry for 30 years and gained extensive experience in engineering and project management on civil infrastructure projects. He has a proven ability to lead and motivate teams as well as maintain a strong relationship with clients and other stakeholders. Strengths include financial management, wide range of civil engineering technical skills from geotechnical, hydraulics, bulk earthworks, pavement construction to concrete structures and also communication and people skills. Contract experience with GC21, AS 2124, AUS-SPEC, NZS 3610 and an expanding experience in industrial relations.

David Parums

David’s 25 years experience in international civil and industrial projects provides additional breadth to the way our team views project planning and risk mitigation. Working in unique contractual and regulatory environments over many years in Africa and the Former Soviet Union has imparted a clear understanding of the importance of collaboration, flexibility and drive to bring projects to successful conclusion. David’s clear approach and excellent communication skills strengthens BMCA’s Business and Project Management capabilities.
